The wellbeing of our guests, our staff and our community is Rolo’s greatest priority. To this end, we have put safety measures in place that meet and often exceed the required standards.

 

Enhanced Air Filtration

Rolo’s has upgraded its air filtration and purification system with a needlepoint bi-polar ionization technology by Scientific Fire. The system uses a technology that releases positively and negatively charged ions into the air which disrupt the surface proteins of pathogens (e.g. viruses, bacteria and mold spores) rendering them inactive and no longer harmful. Additionally, the bi-polar ions cause the particles to cluster together so that they are large enough to be captured by the fine-particle filters we have installed. This is the same system that is used at the United Nations and the Mayo Clinic and many other high profile facilities.

 

Contact Tracing

Contact tracing will be done through our reservation system, RESY, which maintains an ongoing history of everyone who reserved a table at Rolo’s.

 

Wellness Checks

All staff members must complete a health questionnaire and pass a body temperature scan prior to being able to work at Rolo’s each day. In addition, we will be temperature checking our vendors and guests before they enter the building.  

 

Safety Equipment

All staff members will receive Rolo’s-issued masks and be required to wear them at all times when they are in the work environment. Gloves are worn in keeping with DOH guidelines. Guests will be required to wear masks as well to further ensure everyone’s safety. In addition, we have installed 14 no-touch hand sanitizing stations throughout our facility.

 

Handwashing
We follow CDC and FDA guidelines and our staff washes their hands, at a minimum, every 30 minutes.

Cleanliness
Rolo’s has instituted a rigorous and regular cleaning schedule that sees all high-touch surfaces (e.g. door handles, door panels, table edges, countertops, point-of-sale screens, computer keyboards, etc.) disinfected with an approved cleaning formula at least once every 20 - 60 minutes. Incoming packages, which have the potential of allowing COVID-19 to linger, will also be sanitized before they enter the building.

 

Social Distancing
We have organized our restaurant and kitchen to ensure proper social distancing. Tables and chairs are properly distanced and, in certain areas, clear partitions are utilized to further enhance safety.
